Festivals 2026

Types of Festivals and Music Genres

Whatever your mood, there’s a festival waiting for you.

Whether you’re the type who never misses massive events with spectacular stages and lineups packed with international artists (macro festivals), or you prefer a more intimate and exclusive atmosphere in unique settings like beaches, forests, or natural spaces (boutique festivals).

Or maybe you’re looking to enjoy the experience with your family, with areas designed so the little ones can have fun and learn in spaces adapted for them (family-friendly festivals).

When it comes to accommodation during the festival, each offers its own options—some simpler than others: from camping with your own tent, bungalows, or even glamping for those who prefer greater comfort and style. Plus, there are urban festivals you can reach directly by public transport and stay in an apartment, hotel, or even your own home.

Tips to Get Ready for Your Next Festival

Essential Checklist
Before diving into the experience, make sure you pack the essentials for a hassle-free time: comfortable clothes to endure long days, a power bank to keep your phone charged, sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun, and a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. These basics are your best allies for enjoying the festival without setbacks.

Smart Budgeting
Planning your expenses well is key to making the most of every festival. Buy your tickets in advance to get better prices, look for group deals if you’re going with friends, and use apps to split costs easily. This way, you can stay organized and save for the next event.

Organization
If your goal is to attend several festivals throughout the year, create a calendar with the most important dates and book your tickets early. This will help you avoid surprises and make sure you don’t miss your favorites. Having a global view will allow you to combine different styles and experiences.

Well-being and Safety
Having fun is great, but taking care of yourself is even better. Stay hydrated, protect your belongings, and always keep the essentials handy to feel safe. Although each festival has its own rules, carrying the basics will give you peace of mind and let you focus on what matters: the music and the experience.

Useful Apps
Technology can be your best ally. Download playlists to get in the mood before the festival, use organization apps to plan your days, and tools to manage expenses. Anything that helps simplify your experience is welcome.

Currently there are festivals of all kinds: macro festivals that have a large audience capacity and lots of stages as well as large line ups full of artists; family festivals to go with children and that have ideal spaces for the little ones to play and learn; the boutique festivals, usually located in charming places such as the beach or the forest, which are designed for a small audience and have a very careful and defined aesthetic.

In some of them you can camp with your tent, others have bungalows or “glampings”, others take place in the city and you can arrive by subway and sleep in a hotel, Airbnb or in your own house… there is a festival for every occasion and for every person and music lover!
